The Photofacial uses pulses of broad-spectrum light generated from a medical grade laser to penetrate into the deepest layers of your skin. As the heat energy from the laser penetrates the skin, reaching deep past the damaged superficial layer of skin, it stimulates the production of fresh, youthful collagen.
Does it hurt?
You may experience minor discomfort during the procedure, but this is only temporary. Depending on the size of the area being treated, most treatments can be completed within 30-45 minutes. There is no downtime associated with the procedure and you can immediately resume your daily activities.
What to expect?
To obtain optimal results, most patients require a series of 3-5 treatments that are spaced four weeks apart. Improvement is gradual initially and becomes more pronounced after each treatment session. You can expect your skin to appear rejuvenated, smoothed and refined. You will also notice an improvement in the tone and texture of your skin, in addition to a reduction in pore size and discoloration. Maintenance treatments may be needed to maintain your results.
